Sharon Every is a NAMRA scholarship holder and is presently a PhD candidate at Charles Darwin University (RIEL). She is studying the ecological niche of euryhaline elasmobranchs (estuarine sharks and rays) in the South Alligator River in the Northern Territory.

Sharon has a double degree in Natural Resource Management (App Sc) and Secondary Education from Deakin University (Melbourne). Her honours project was completed at Northern Territory University (now CDU) studying disturbances on tropical rocky shores under the supervision of Dr. Keith McGuinness.
